The decision for the Nkandla Municipality to honor Idlamlenze, Khuzani is based on the fact that he is no longer an artist at the level of iNkandla. He is known in the whole country and even abroad. He is a role model in most of the emerging artists,” says Mayor Ntuli.
Khuzani Mpungose is one of the few artists that has managed to take his music career to a top level that most maskandi music artists fail to reach. Khuzani has been receiving achievements after achievements and has broken several records. Some of his huge achievements include winning crossover song of the year on Ukhozi FM with almost a million votes, his song iJele got a lot of streams and downloads on platforms like YouTube and he would soon have his reality show played on national television.
